Ever Feel Like This???

Word for the day: matriphagy

When the babies are around a month old teens, the mother spider rolls over on her back allowing the spiderlings to clamber over her, kill her by injecting their venom and digestive enzymes into her body, and eat her.

  1. Hmm. Bad day at the family ranch, Mom?

Er...is that a skull on the left?!?

  2. Ouch! I bet that hurt.

You know Lolamouse that although I've been an avid, sensitive cognitive 'male' of women's issues, I will never understand the maternal sensitivities of a Mother. Therefore, I won't say 'I understand'.

PS: make sure you consume nutritionally based meals just in case your kids eat you up.

  3. I am not sure I would use so dramatic an image, but since school began last week, my life is very intense. My 13-year old is SO hormonal!!! YIKES! twinkly

  4. Also, one of my acupuncturists told me that kids steal their mothers' "chi." It's really the same thing as these spider babies. If our kids didn't need us so much for so long, they'd probably eat us, too. Instead, they suck our energy.
The first 2 hours of my day, every weekday during the school year, still belong to my kids.
